A great local BBQ restaurant. Meat was tender and well seasoned. The portions were certainly more than the cost and the service... was excellent. Friendly and attentive. Also, "Get the red velvet cake;" to go and double order!" ( Thank me later!) Terrific! Read more
Absolutely THE BEST cheeseburger I've ever had. Beer battered onion rings were delicious. Beans with bar b que meat simply... fantastic. Employees are wonderful. I hate to buy take out, get home and discover my order WAS MADE INCORRECTLY!.. I have been wanting a BBQ pork salad a long time.... So with the BIDEN economy being a total disaster I can't just go spend $38.00 on take out anytime I want to.. I buckled down anddecided to buy takeout from a long time small business. I was told The Rocket has the best BBQ pork salad in town. After gettinghome with my order I discover the restaurant did not give me the BBQ pork salad I had ordered. They gave me BBQ CHICKENinstead!!. Another 1 of my orders was missing the dipping sauce. The potato salad had way too much mayonnaise and the potatoeswere not cooked all the way, very hard and no seasoning at all( worst i have ever had)...The toast that comes with the BBQ saladhad so much butter dripping from the wax paper it soaked through the paper bag and onto my car seat!. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!. I'mgiving the Rocket a score of 2 stars. Overall, the taste of the food was very good and the portions were generous. (except thepotato salad, small amount to pay$4 for) I hope the Rocket can have a chance to change my mind and I will come back and givethem a 5 star rating! Read more
The Rocket voted one of the best 12 places for hamburgers in Alabama. So we decided to try it about a month ago. We were NOT... disappointed. It was delicious even though it is a little messy. They have a special secret? sauce on the burger. The fries andonion rings so crispy just the way I like them. A little ?hole in the wall? place that packs em in. Friendly folks at thecounter taking the orders. Just find a seat or take it home with you. Seating is limited but we had no problem finding one. Theowner thanked us for coming in.
