Food was delicious, service, while slow at first, picked up and the waitress was extremely friendly and accommodating. I got... the corned beef hash breakfast. You could tell it was actually made fresh and not the stuff they plop out of a can like mostplaces do. Eggs were cooked perfectly and the toast was thicker than most places will give you, which was a great treat. Wifegot the breakfast plate. Home fries were fantastic, toast was good, bacon was perfectly extra crispy. Only issue was thescrambled eggs were a bit soft for her asking for them to be ?well-done?. They were good for my taste though. I like thelocation the building was in, and the diner theme aesthetic they are going for. There is definitely room for improvement thereby adding some more decorations and whatnot to the walls to make it feel more diner like, but I think they?re off to a goodstart. Would like to see this restaurant actually stay in this location for an extended period of time, as they usuallydisappear fairly quickly. Our breakfast was so good. My son wanted lunch instead and they made a 20min early exception for him. I do not recommend the... biscuits n gravy. However the rest was excellent. Service was excellent as well. We did not have a long wait at all either. Read more
If you're wanting to support local folks, then I highly recommend this diner in the J'town square for breakfast!!! Although... they serve lunch also. I ordered the biscuits 'n gravy platter with scrambled eggs, bacon and home fries. Everything wasdelicious!! Yum! Yum! It came out hot, and I loved every bite! It was a generous amount of food, in which I couldn't quitefinish it all. Helen was a great server too! Keep up the good work!! The atmosphere was interesting; it was decorated withblack and white checkerboard, had records on the wall, a jukebox and good music playing... This was my first time here & won'tbe the last! I've been waiting for the opportunity to come to this restaurant for quite some time... today just so happened to be that day!... We stopped for breakfast and let me tell you something: If you are hesitating to eat here, you're crazy! The portions areexcellent, the biscuits & gravy are top notch, and excellent service to match!
