We went and had to sit at a long table against the wall, lights blaring in our eyes. We felt like we were on display ! We were... actually discussing that we would not be back, but then the food arrived. It looked great and tatsted delicious ! The pricesare a little above average, but with today's economy, not surprised. Our server was ok, but the food was excellent , we willdefinitely be back and wait, if needed , for another booth. Not the worst place I ever been?my wife asks for half sweet , half unsweet tea for our daughter and the waitress explains that... they only have unsweet. We are fine with that but when the tea is brought it is sweet, now I am confused. We request anotherminute to decide, which turns into a very long time waiting for our waitress to return. She takes our order; we ask that chickenbe added to our daughter?s quesadilla which I think I saw her write down. Again, a very uncomfortable long wait, and then ourfood begins to be served, one plate at a time, with long periods between each order. The last to come out is the quesadilla forour daughter and there is no chicken added. I am surprised that the service was off being there were so few observablecustomers. We did notice that there may be a patio area, but our servers did not seem to be out there either. My wife tripslightly over the very high threshold; last time I checked ½? is the max height, this was more like 1 ¼?. And I was surprisedthat the door opened inward; I thought code insisted on outswing doors in the event of fire. But this is Jeffersonville where itis not required to stop at stop signs. First time eating here! Absolutely impressed. Staff was friendly and accommodating and the food, THE FOOD GUYS. I am always on... the lookout for authentic and great tasting food and this is my new favorite place. The food is 10/10 and the service and staffwere great too! Absolutely recommend Pelicanos! Good food (a bit too salty), nice ambiance, Service was good. I had the chimichanga for dinner. I'm used to a bigger portion but... I always have leftovers so it's not a big deal. Nice to have a different Mexican option nearby other than the rude dudes atPuerto Vallartas! Read more
