My wife and I decided to try this place and we really enjoyed the food. I do understand now why a reviewer said the consistency... of the mofongo is more like a mangu, but the flavor was delicious. We would definitely come back. Read more
We found this restaurant during our travels after some online research. The food was very good, though the shrimp was slightly... over-seasoned. The presentation of the food was really good. There's a fair amount of misrepresentation that earns them a 2star from us. First off this place is not one $ sign, not even close. They offer a Pina colada drink under the alcohol sectionthat has no alcohol in it, but you wouldn't know it by the price. The prices on the menu are irrelevant and there's a goodchance it does not match what you'll see on the bill. Two entrees and 2 drinks (1beer 1 sangria) $85. Mofongo King? Yeah, right!! Dirty, many flies, loud music, long wait for food despite the place being completely void of... customers at peak lunch hour and the food lack seasoning. The Mofongo was dry and the grilled chicken breast was undercooked,but most of all it was the flies that were annoying. Very nasty!!! ???? Check out the pictures I posted! Stopped here on Friday night for dinner. The place is nice and the staff is friendly. Just a heads up, if loud sounds bother you... should ask to be seated outside. They have the music volume a little on the loud side. I'm giving it a 4stars because I wasvery disapointed on the Alcapurrias. They were small and suggy. I could not pick them up without them just bending all over myfingures. One of the keys of the Alcapurrias is that they are crispy on the outside, but this ones were not.
