My husband went to Popeyes and brought home some food, 7 minute drive. The food was cold, nothing warm about it at all. Do the... own warmers? We use to live in Chanute Ks, I would drive to Pittsburgh ks to get KFC, it was still Luke warm when I got ithome. I have been to plenty of Popeye chicken and they were all amazing. I won't be back to the one in Joplin. Look I even hadto warm up my own food.???????????? Read more

Love Popeyes, but this location is terrible! Drive through only, which you think would make it twice as fast to get through and... get your food. Well, that is simply not the case at all. Be ready to wait over 45 minutes in the drive through before evenordering even if there are only 2 people in line in front of you. I completely understand being understaffed, but this isridiculous! You?d think the employees would have a little bit of empathy for the ones who are still willing to wait, but they donot. They are very unapologetic. UPDATE: We waited what was in total almost 50 minutes tonight, then finally made it home andthey forgot 2 pieces of chicken AND the side of mashed potatoes. NEVER going back to this location. Place is definitely riding the struggle bus but some shifts are better than others. I've learned, be there at 4pm on the... weekdays. They take like 3 minutes to get your food and they usually have all the sides and most of the time can take cash. After 5pm and especially on the weekends, everything you read about is true. No sides, 30 to 45 minute waits, and sometimes, nospicy chicken...that one I can't comprehend. Good thing is, I still go once a month and the food is great. No complaints aboutfood prep but whoever is suppose to be managing needs retrained on staffing, supplies and change orders. This is the secondattempt at a Popeyes in Joplin, we want one but they need to act like they want to be here too. Read more

Man, I love Popeyes. I'm a middle-aged fat guy. Popeyes is my church. Sadly, this particular location is not great. I... suspect that they have a staffing problem or something, but they are super disorganized. They are frequently out of common menuitems to the point where I have a list of backup selections ready in case I arrive to pick up our family dinner and I am told Ihave to choose a different item because they are out of fries or whatever. I typically order online for convenience. The pointof online ordering is that I can order and pay in advance and then simply pick up my food when I arrive. For some reason, though, at this location I have to go to the restaurant and wait in line to tell the cashier that I am here to pick up my order. It is only then that the order starts being filled. This completely negates the whole point of online ordering, you know? I amnot trying to pick on the workers. They always seem very busy and they are usually super pleasant and professional. I get thefeeling that they are understaffed or maybe mismanaged. To be fair, I have never had a problem with the food itself. I've neverhad a "nasty food" situation or anything like that. Sometimes it's not super fresh, but that's just a reality of eating at fastfood places. Bottom line: The food is good, but it is pretty likely that you will have a longer than normal wait. Not adeal-breaker unless you are in a hurry. Read more

30+ minutes to get through drive thru. Didn?t include any sauces with the meal. 1/4 pound shrimp was more like an ounce of... shrimp. No plastic ware for the sides. Haven?t been to this location in over a year because it screwed up four orders in a rowback then. Never again! Read more
