This place sucks, It took asking to get napkins, 3 of them for 6 people having the appetizer then ask again for service ware... before the food came. Cool to warm food, even the steak and ribs. The burgers were served with cool fries and on buns as closeto croutons as you can get. If you like food, skip this place. The truth is either funny or it hurts!! Read more
A long time favorite in Julian! They offer a good selection of entrees and just recently started offering breakfast. The pot... pie was delicious! While it isn't the prettiest presentation, it has so much flavor! The crust was flaky and they use a browngravy inside. There were a variety of vegetables and chunks of chicken. The salad was cold, crisp and fresh when served. Theranch dressing was tasted like it may be homemade. All entrees ordered were hearty portion sizes and very filling. The customer service was just okay. The hostess/manager seemed to really be trying to make up for the lack of customer service... her team could provide. Our server brought us waters and rushed us into ordering food right away because ?the kitchen is busy.? She didn?t even bother asking us for drink orders even though the tables next to us were able to order ciders, sodas, teas, andcoffees, etc. We had to ask the server to take drink orders, but even then, she didn?t ask the rest of our table of 7 if anyoneelse wanted anything other than water. The kitchen staff takes WAY too long to service an order. We waited over an hour forour orders, and what we got for what we waited for was terrible. The cooks seem inexperienced to cook what?s on therestaurant?s menu. The bbq ribs were not prepared correctly prior to cooking it. Once they believed the ribs were done, theydumped about a cup of barbecue sauce over it and called it a day. The country fried steak was covered in cooking oil, so therewas no apparent attempt to strain the food before they plated it. The ?baked beans? seemed (and tasted) like canned beans plusketchup. We made the mistake of going here because it also had a gift shop, but none of the items inside were local. You canfind all of the gift shop items at a gas station, and the gas station?s food would probably be better. Read more
