I was waiting for a flight to Gustavus while in Juneau. I took a cab downtown to look around for awhile. Decided to get a... bite, I had a dish I never saw before. Some type of layered enchilada with a fried egg on top. Delicious! Read more

To be initially fair, there were five cruise ships in port, one of which was ours, and the restaurant was very busy and... seemingly understaffed. After a twenty minute wait, we were seated and the initial greeting (including the obligatory chips andsalsa) from a server was slow in coming. To get to the point, the food for four of us was OK but not great. We orderedguacamole that never came and we were never asked about drink refills. Speaking of drinks, only beer, wine, and sodas (maybetea) are served?no margaritas?likely a license issue. Also there is a big.Alaskan Brewing Company sign on the wall, but theydid not have Alaskan Amber?very disappointing. It could be better, but that begs the question whether, with the steady supply ofcruise ship patron's, will it be? Read more

My children and I were starving and looking for something to eat. Found this hidden gem! We live in Wisconsin but I?m originally... from California. It?s been a long time since I?ve had really good Mexican and enjoyed every bit. Totally Recommend Read more

Maybe I'm spoiled being from the lower 48, but I had my doubts, and I was right. Food was terrible. Ordered the pork tamales.... 2 hunks of white corn masa with 4 or 5 pieces of half centimeter square cubes of some kind of meat. Covered in a green sauce ofsome kind. The refried beans had 1 identifiable bean. The rest was a brown gravy. The rice was orange. Stick to Mexican foodcloser to Mexico. Not a good meal for 22.00. Read more

The resteraunt was good, I guess you don't come to Alaska for the spanish cuisine. I got the 2 cheese enchiladas, was ok.... Thought it was interesting the enchilada sauce was made with peanut butter, so if you have a nut allergy you may want to skipthis dish. The wait staff was very nice and the atmosphere was pleasant. I would probably go back just not for the enchiladas. Read more
