Horrible. Who sells a pizza like this? Being a New Yorker this is offensive. They obviously didn’t let the dough rise on the... Sicilian , threw sauce and cheese on it and it became a soup. Could have been decent , sauce is pretty nice. Also, $6 for adozen stale garlic knots and 2.50 for the sauce? A bit pricey for the bread. Read more
Called and ordered a pizza at 5:25 and they said the pizza would be ready in 25 min. Go to pick the pizza up 30 minutes later... and they said oh it’s in the oven but there’s 16 pizzas ahead of you. Like what?? Didn’t offer a drink didn’t say can Iget you anything while you’re waiting it would be at least another hour. What? Page was my waitress who happens to be the manager as well. I ordered penne alla vodka with chicken. When my order came on the... plate had mushrooms and pancetta, now I don’t like either and wouldn’t have ordered it if it was on the menu so when I askedPage about it she told me it’s on the menu and that’s how they make it in Sicily, which is fine but post it cause I don’teat pork. After her being so rude I looked at the menu where it did not say it had mushrooms and pancetta in it. I asked if Ican have a white pizza instead. When it came she threw it down and walked away. The pizza was very good that’s why it’s 2stars. When the bill came I saw that the pasta was still on for $22.95 so I asked her why the pizza isn’t on but the pasta isand she said that the pasta is cheaper and told me the price of both but the pizza was $19.95 so she tried to charge me more forthe pasta even though I sent it back. I come in with my Mother and we like to order and share. We start out with the Cesar salad with anchovies on the side and a side... of broccoli rabe that's prepared perfectly. Then the thin crust cheese pizza was perfect balance if a nice sauce and cheese, notgreasy. We've been in for dinner and Is recommend trying any of the specials. This is a local, family restaurant with very good food and a fantastic, friendly staff. We lived in Italy and New York. This... is neither Italy level food, nor is it true thin-crust New York pizza. But that's not what brings us to the restaurant. We gobecause; 1. It is comfortable, friendly, and warm. It has a very cozy, welcoming feel that is great for kids, families, orcouples. It feels like you are in your favorite neighborhood eatery. The place you can go to dinner every week, and never tireof it, because it feels like home. 2. The foods is tremendous. The portions are big. I know they take time and care inpreparing their food and I can tell they take pride in it. The sauce for the meatballs is different than the sauce for thechicken parm (a signature dish). And this sauce is different than the marinara for the pasta. it is not Michelin-star Italian. It is mom's kitchen, delicious Italian food that you keep coming back for. 3. The quality is outstanding. We have never hada quality issue, and the food comes out as expected. 4. The staff is make you feel comfortable staff. They are warm, havebeen working there forever, and their recommendations are great. When we are tired, really hungry, or just want to relax, Zipsis our go-to. When we have the young nieces and nephews in town - we go to Zips. When we want pizza - we go to Zips.
