This place is amazing. I have eaten a lot of sushi, but never at such a personal place as this one. I ate here last April. This... location only takes reservations, so be sure to call to make a reservation. There are only a few tables. When I went, there wasthree other parties. The place is ran by the sushi chef(Seiji?) and his partner, I think. The lady serves you and takes yourorder. She will serve you throughout the night. The sushi will be brought out by the sushi chef. He will say a few words abouteach sushi roll. This type of service made me feel great and valued as a patron. The food itself is very authentic tasting. Thisplace won?t coat the sushi with sweet or savory sauces. You won?t find ?American-ized Sushi? here. Instead, the ingredients arefresh and flavorful. The sushi is made to stand on its own. We ordered the poke bowl, the miso soup, a deep fried roll, and afew sushi rolls. The fish was fresh and very tasty. Overall, I recommend Seiji?s Sushi as your first stop in Kona for amazingauthentic sushi. Read more

This little sushi spot is absolutely worth the trip. It's tiny, so make your reservation well in advance. We had the omakase... with the sake pairing and it was some of the best sushi I have experienced, matched with amazing service. The couple that ownsand runs this gem obviously puts their hearts into everything they do. We will definitely be back! Read more

Fantastic small restaurant experience! Delicious sushi, could not have been fresher! Husband and Wife team were great, and... opened up their favorite Sake to have us try! If you're in Kona, make a reservation and come here! Read more

The food here is AMAZING! I started with the Miso soup and cold house sake. The miso flavor was the best I have had. The saki... was on par with the miso. The sashmi was wonderful. Nice cuts and the accompanying vegetables paired beautifully. The Wasabiwas very tasty and added to the flavorful experience. Next up was the spicy tuna roll. The appearance of the roll was artful. The flavor surpassed the appearance. Last up was the spider roll. Once again, the appearance was a work of art. The flavorand textures were a delight! The meal concluded with strawberries + Whipped cream with a hint of chocolate sauce. This was aperfect end to a beautiful meal. The whole experience was wonderful! If you can get a reservation, take whatever they haveavailable! When I'm I Kona again, I'm coming back! Read more

I don?t normally give 5 stars on my reviews but I wish there is a 6 stars review that I can give Seiji. This is truly a hidden... GEM off of the beaten path. We were so lucky that we could make reservation for the next evening. The first time we got turnedaway. So folks, do make reservation wayyyy ahead before you even leave town. They only serve no more than 10 guests per evening,5:30pm, 6:30 and 7:30pm. So you really have the full chef?s attention to create phenomenal sushi dining experience for you. Ihardly eat raw seafood but Seiji made it so amazingly delicious. Everything was so exquisitely prepared by him. The chef tastingmenu is a must. Read more
