Such a cool little place, the staff are amazing and friendly, they spend time explaining the menu, they know all the ingredients... (very helpful if you have allergies), and they don't ask how you are enjoying your food just as you have filled your mouth withfood, like so many other places do! The food is amazing as well, mostly small plates, perfect to share for 2 people. We had theBeef Tartar, the Mushroom plate and Oysters ... all so delicious! Nice little wine selection by the glass, and again veryknowledgeable about the wine selection. They don't rush you through your meal, the timing of the different plates is perfect.Perfect date night place! Our first time there, not our last. Highly recommended ... but do make reservations before going, itis a small place. Read more

A hidden gem in Kanata. It was my first time heading to Aperitivo and it was such a treat. Me and my friend went during lunch... and we had an amazing time. The restaurant had great decor and a cozy, yet elevated vibe. Together, we ordered 3 plates andeach had a glass of wine for ourselves. We weren?t sure about pairings, but our server Erica, was super friendly andknowledgeable! She let us order first, then chose a pairing (Rosewood - Blau, Nekora - Verdejo) based off of our order and weloved her recommendation! The wines they have are focused on creating great pairings rather than highlighting a specificelement. The pacing of the food was also great and we?d have fresh plates and food the instant we were done our previousone. The food was incredible. We had the Scallop Ceviche, Burrata and Tuna Tartare. Everything we ordered had a great play ontextures; they were served with chips or crostini as well. The ceviche was vibrant and fresh - it reminded me of a Pico de Gallowith scallops and more texture. The tuna was both of our favourites. The tuna was rich and the flavour was well balanced withthe tomatoes and pistachio. The Burrata combined with the basil and purée made for a dish with great, complex flavours. This restaurant was a unique experience. We were able to share many dishes among our group of 8. Each dish was beautifully... presented and flavours were delicious. The menu was enthusiastically presented by our server/ proprietor, who was veryknowledgeable about the dishes and wonderful wines. The dishes here are very creative, unique and FULL of flavour. Also the menu regularly changes so there's always something new... to discover. I've been many times and have never been disappointed! The restaurant has a relaxed and cozy vibe. The wait staffare always so friendly and attentive. The prices are totally reasonable for the quality of the dishes. I would HIGHLY recommendAperitivo!
