Holy Pepper!!! If you like black pepper this is your jam. If you like food that is palatable I would look elsewhere. While in... Kansas City, I thought I should get some BBQ. I chose the wrong place. I ordered the 4 meat sampler for 4 to 5 people. Itincluded brisket, turkey, burnt ends, and pork belly burnt ends. All of this came with ribs and four sides. Not worth the $50. Igot better tasting BBQ at the Great Wolf Lodge Bar and Grille. The ribs came with a generous black pepper rub. Well cooked butthe only flavor that came through was the black pepper crust. The brisket was dry and similar to peppered beef jerky. The porkbelly burnt ends were not trimmed and primarily just 5 pieces of fat. Not the good melt in your mouth kind, but chewy fat youspit out immediately. The turkey was as expected, not moist but also edible. The sides were less than desirable, again, moreblack pepper. The mac and cheese was so peppery that my children couldn't even eat it. The fries were covered in pepper. Thecorn bread did not contain any pepper but was dry, flavorless, and crumbly. We did not receive the burnt ends initially and hadto call and drive back to get them. The 5 we received were not worth all of the hassle of driving back. The burnt ends weresquare cut pieces of brisket. Not coated in a nice thick caramelized sauce. They also were slightly chewy and did not melt inyour mouth. The service we received did try to make up for the mistakes made by adding extra Mac and cheese and fries whichalso were extremely peppered. Overall very disappointed with the quality of food received and would encourage anyone staying atthe Great Wolf Lodge to just eat the BBQ at the Lodge instead of venturing out to this establishment. Ordered the ultimate platter. Service was great because they called me back as soon as I put in my online order and made sure I... was taken care of and given an estimate time before food was ready for pick up. Food was surprisingly good and in my own personal honest opinion, it was better than a few other chain BBQ restaurants. Amazing sweet BBQ sauce and they were verygenerous on serving size. Got these sides: beans, cheesy corn, potato salad and vinegar slaw. Although I wasn't a fan of theslaw, I improvised and mixed their slaw with the cheesy corn. The result was a light taste, crunch and a good balance of flavor. Will definitely try the sweet potato fried and corn bread next time. Read more

Pretty clean place, bbq is not the best, but it's pretty good if you have a craving. Close to legends. The burnt ends sandwich... and half slab of ribs were good. I like both the spicy and regular bbq sauce I would recommend visiting at least once to try itout. Read more

My wife and I dined in on July 19th for a late lunch. We had a great experience. This was our first time (we are not from KC)... , so we asked for recommendations when we ordered. The gentleman suggested burnt ends and the KC Que tine if we wantedsomething a bit different. We decided on his suggestions and added some pulled pork. For sides we did the beans and thevinegar coleslaw. The burnt ends were fantastic. I tried the sauces on the table as well as the optional spicy BBQ. They hadgreat flavor. Texture of the burnt ends was great. They had the perfect amount of fat. My wife had the pulled pork and sheloved it as well. The beans had great flavor and were a good blend of sweet and vinegary. The vinegar coleslaw was the onlymediocre item on our main dish. It was good just would not get it again. The star of the meal was the KC Que Tine. I think Iate the majority of it. All of the flavors were very complimentary. Nice blend of sweet, salty, and spicy flavors. You reallyget a good balance with hot and cold temperatures from the different ingredients as well as crunchy and soft. Great dish! Wewere overall very pleased, and will give it another try next time we are in KC Read more

Nice place. Very clean and I LOVED the brisket, didn't use any sauce. The beans were good and meaty but a bit too tangy for my... tastes. Read more
