I felt a little out of place when I walked in here. I was on vacation with a polo shirt and a hoodie; I should have at least... worn a dress shirt: the place is nice. Food is fantastic. I had the wild boar pasta and my date had meatballs and pasta. JJ'sbeats out the typical Italian fare. If you are a wine lover, you will love this place: hundreds of choices. Nothing necessarily negative about our experience but it definitely was not the same as last time we visited. The first time was... romantic and had an incredible energy and ambiance in the dining area. We were somewhat disappointed by the overall quality ofthe food and the atmosphere this time. It was dead on a Friday night with not so much as music playing. It was almost awkward.We really looked forward to coming back. Next time we will visit during lunch or perhaps opt for the patio. Food and wine was good. Service awesome! I always thought the bar area as really pretty with wood and dimmed lights. But? it... could be so much more elevated with good jazz on the radio system, not 70?s/80??s music and classic rock. With that kind ofextensive wine list, good jazz music would just elevate everything! Read more
