We saw this place on an Anthony Bourdain episode and knew we had to try it. We drove 3hours from New Orleans just to try it and... it was our favorite dining experience of our whole trip. The ladies working were really friendly and made us feel comfortableand right at home. We ate the crawfish ettoufette, oyster po?boy, and the best pecan pie we?d ever had. This is an old time grocery and restaurant type place on the outskirts of kaplan Louisiana. I believe they have been there since... 1976. The people there were very friendly. Walking in here feels like stepping back in time. They have a vast array of optionsto eat. Their specialty is turtle sauce piquant. I tried this dish and it was very very good. It comes with a fried catfishfillet a roll and a piece of lemon cake. We also had the seafood platter and the daily special plate lunch which was spaghettithat day and we got a piece of pecan pie which they sell by the slice or by the entire pie.
