Monday 6/18 We walked out after: Waiting 1 hour and never received food, waitress showed up once to say she was sorry it was... taking so long. 1. The dining room was not busy when we ordered. Maybe 10 people total. 2. Owner said he's real sorry forthis, yet charged us a salad bar trip - yet 3 of us only had one visit. 3. So it cost us $25 to sit 1 hour and the owner to sayhe was really sorry about this. Only my 2nd time there and now it's my last. Wouldn't recommend. My family and I wanted something new, so decided to give it a shot. I got broiled haddock with babyred... potatoes. In the menu it said the haddock was seasoned with their "secrets" recipe. The real secret was that it wasn't verytasty. In addition, the haddock had a strong fishy taste...given that this type of fish isn't normally like that. Our waitresswas nice but she seemed like she didn't want much to do with us and would rather stand at other tables to talk to the oldercouples rather than give us attention. Maybe because we were a younger crowd? Lastly, my sister noticed at the salad bar thatone of the waitresses was trying to make it look presentable. While there was a small pile of cottage cheese on the side whereyou can set your plate, instead of cleaning up the mess, she decided to scoop it up and put in right back in the cottage cheesebowl. We arrived for my girlfriend's birthday dinner with our four kids to try something new in our home town. We hoped it would be a... really nice birthday dinner. We walked up to the guy at the desk and he looked at us for a few seconds, then shook his head andwaved his hand as if saying, "Come on, people." I said then that we have 6 people, and he paused again looking at me like I wasstupid, then said, "Name?" rudely, after I told him my name he said it would be a 40 minute wait in the same rude tone. Mygirlfriend said she lost her appetite and we walked out. Good food doesn't matter when you're treated like an inconvenience. Iwould rate 0 stars if I could. Excellent food, excellent service. The wait staff comes around fairly often take care of any needs you have. The lines get a... little crazy when you have a buffet-style, but that's anywhere. Great place for larger family to get together and have a nicesit-down dinner. Read more
