I order a meal for two and it tastes like garbage the sweet sour chicken was to vinegary and my Taos chicken was not spicy at... all I don?t recommend this place to anyone stay away don?t waste your money cause they won?t even give you your money back or adifferent meal this place sucks Read more
Coming from San Francisco having one of the biggest Chinatown in the Nation, we are spoiled with good authentic Chinese food... there and I must say I was pleased with the Chinese food at Happy You because it levels with good Chinese food in San Francisco! My daughter got us dinner from this place and the cost added up to $25, plus, she left them a $5 tip but they didn't give her a... receipt. When her credit card bill came in, they had charged her $43. That's almost $20 over the original cost of the food.Since they didn't offer her or give her a receipt, there's no proof. My first time here and last. What I had was two dinner combos, both general Tso's egg roll tasted terrible, possibly the worst... egg roll I have ever eaten! my egg roll was mushy, other egg roll was crunchy, we opened it up with a knife, and the inside was0 beansprouts, and all catfood, well it looked like. I am not sure what it was. I took a bite and that was the last bite. justan awful taste. Low mien noodles, tasted pretty ok, just a lack of flavor. Very bland general Tso's- where I was mostdisappointed. The flavor actually didn't remind me of Chinese at all. they were huge pieces of fried chicken, so huge you didn'teven know if it was cooked all the way though before you took a bite out of it so I was skeptical about taking more biteswithout double checking. I finished one peice that's all I could take. the flavor reminded me of a backyard BBQ sauce with abuffalo sauce look to it. it didn't even taste like general Tso's, if I had to close my eyes and guess what type of food I ameating, I would think American BBQ. I was looking for the awesome Chinese flavor, which this dish was missing. The only reasonI decided to try this place out, because my other Chinese spot if closed, Szechuan gourmet, I wanted to get my weekly kick ofChinese but they are closed for the Easter week.
