We did not stay as the Inn was fully booked. A very kind gentleman named Tim however called us back, explained how busy the area... was for the time we wanted to visit, and then gave me terrific advice about alternatives in the area. He was incrediblygracious and thoughtful, and was able to direct me to another locale. Very Macys-Gimbels. Next time we are up there (and wewill be visiting many schools in the coming months), I will call well in advance and stay at this obviously well run andserviced Inn. Many thanks. Read more

Fabulous meal at this cozy small-town restaurant. Atmosphere was upscale (live pianist! Local history on the walls), as were the... drinks, and the brie and calamari appetizers were an excellent welcome to the main meals to come. I ordered the NY Strip and itwas cooked perfectly. Vegetables/sides on our party's main dishes could have used a little less seasoning, but otherwise amemorable smd delicious meal! Special place I'll remember for an extended birthday weekend. The Fife n Drum is like stepping back in time in the best way. The rooms are clean, well-appointed, and comfortable -- with... classic old-school design. The restaurant serves delicious food with many dishes prepared next to the table by the lovelywaitstaff. Salvador in particular was wonderful. Prices aren't cheap but the experience is one of a kind and well worth it. Wewent for my 30th birthday and had a fabulous time. Read more
Both the food and service were very good. The place could use a little sprucing up, but it's in a great location. We had the... crab cakes, the salmon dinner, and raspberry cobbler for dessert. They were all spot on. Read more
Went here on a Saturday afternoon. Not too busy. We were greeted promptly and seated. Our table had eggplant rollatini, pizza... Margherita and squash and tomato bisque soup, and fries. Everyone said they enjoyed their food. The fries were not so greatthough. Read more
