The pork salad was delicious. Employees were very friendly. Only complaint was the lobby had music blasting and the kitchen had... DIFFERENT music blaring. The competing music was too much. Had to eat in the car. Food was good, though. Read more

I'm not surprised by the recent posts of 1 stars on Google reviews of Kent's Cafe Rio. Their service has gone down drastically... and from my last visit, it sounds like employees on the floor hate their job, and management is ignoring their job of managing. They seem to have a new server there every time I visit now which isn't my problem, but it makes you wonder what happened to thelast person. ???? I'm going to say this will be my last time supporting this location, and would rather eat elsewhere or atanother Rio location if it truly is just this store that's lacking in every way. First, the server told me their life storyalmost, which was sad to hear while we waited for a long time for our food to be made in line. The food was just subpar comparedto pre pandemic with a few mistakes on what we had asked for. So the server had to apologize further which I wasn't complaining,it just wasn't what we had ordered and that's when the atmosphere became rather gloomy. It sounds like we weren't the only oneswho had issues with their food being wrong and I didn't want to hassle them further if that meant we had to wait longer, sodespite that I just accepted the food. Based off of the servers apologies, that they were overworked and understaffed, I didn'task for an explanation but this is what I was told that night. We never saw the manager, never had anyone but the serverthemselves apologize. I've been to cheesecake factory where the wait was so long, the manager came out and personally apologizedto us for how long our food took. I get it, Rio isn't a fancy place. But neither is cheesecake. It's a franchise that extendspast WA state. And this is unacceptable to have this location fall so behind in the times and for apparently not hiring enoughstaff to stay open to serve for the entire day. Maybe shut down early if you are short staffed or dont overwork your team, because starting with a new crew can be worse and slows down business, coming from someone who used to Read more

UPDATE: I emailed as requested. I was asked questions that I answered, then was asked again repeated questions. Then was asked... to explain my experience all over again (when it's posted here). After a month, even though they requested my phone number, havenot heard a word from them for resolution. I was really saddened and disappointed before about our favorite place to eat losingquality, and now this just really was the straw on the camel's back. Original Review 3 stars: Cafe Rio used to be my husbandsfavorite place to order a yummy salad. Their homemade tortilla and really good dressing was amazing. We had Cafe Rio at least 2to 3 times a month. Unfortunately the last 3 times we have ordered have been disappointing. Their food did not seem fresh. Andthe order we got last night was absolutely gross but we ate it since we had no food and stuck inside with COVID. The foodarrived so cold as if it had been refridgerated. The tortilla was soggy, stiff and mine was ripped amd missing a chunk. The foodaltogether was soggy. Our salad dressing containers had soggy lettuce in them. We got horrible food poisening from it and beensick to our stomachs since last night. I am greatly saddened and disappointed by our recent experiences here. We mainly alwaysorder for delivery. Foods ok but came in about 1.5 hours before closing to see employees already closing shop and then as we were getting our food... the employees had an attitude of they hated their job and wanted everyone to know. And way too expensive! $40 for a burrito, enchiladas, and some chips with sauce!? I would expect that for a sit down and service restaurant but this is like a knock offchipotle so in long story short not worth the money, annoying and rude employees, but food is ok, not great but I don?t want tothrow it back up at least. I enjoyed the food. Service is subpar. Very "why do i have to be here" mood from the employees. But they got everything right &... got everything we wanted. I like their salad. The dressing is really good. The pollo asada was really good with a little spice. The pork is sweeter, but tasty if you like that! All their meat was moist & tender. The beef had good flavor too!
