Small, unassuming restaurant that serves DELICIOUS food. The flavors for our sushi, teriyaki, and poke were *just* right and the... owner was so helpful when we were asking questions about what to choose. I would definitely recommend the poke salad ???? Read more
I used to go here often but had not been since pre Covid. I went last night with a friend. When we walked in the place was... empty. It was only 7pm. The host/server told us we could sit anywhere we want as it was empty. We sat down and server broughtus two menus with a small piece of scratch paper and told us to write our order on the paper. I've never been to a place wherethey ask you to do this but we did. We ordered the chicken teriyaki Bento box and chicken katsu Bento box. They were out ofchicken teriyaki so we got two katsu boxes. We never got asked if we wanted something to drink. We had to walk up to registerand ask for water. When our order came it was missing the streamed rice. When we asked about it we were told that they wouldcharge us for it. We had to point out that it is listed on the menu with the box. The server said nothing to ud and went back tothe kitchen. This the worst place to order from we ordered poke and got iceberg lettuce mix with salmon on top this is unbelievable for... 17$!!! Greeted by a little old lady that did not speak English. She went to call someone who did and he gestured to a booth and... promptly asked what I would like to drink. I ordered the Chirashi bowl and spicy tuna hand rolls, hot tea. As I waited Inoticed they had a video playing of Superman and a booth of paperwork. IMO you know the food is authentic when you see a kiddoing HW utilizing one of the seats. ????. The place was empty but I did show up for a super late lunch. The food lookedappetizing. They have faintly seasoned rice. Not bad. The portions and quality of fish was surprising for a strip mallrestaurant. I ordered the Tamago nigiri to go for my kiddo. It was a nice atmosphere,clean, laid back. They had sake andSapporo on the menu. Some Korean and Chinese food available also. I just had my first visit today ? stopped in on my lunch break since it was nearby and I was craving sushi, and oh boy am I glad... I did. They weren?t busy at all at the time I arrived (3:45pm on a Sunday), and there was just one host up front however hehelped me and a take-out customer just fine. I ordered miso soup, which was served to me like-warm however the bowl of it is $3!Really inexpensive and tasty. Now I used to be incredibly picky with sushi however I adapted from a basic California roll toanything made cooked, although I?m sure if you?re a head on sushi lover that the raw fish would taste great as well! But Iordered dragon rolls, and they?re under the specialty roll menu, served with 8 pieces and my, the flavor was one if not the BESTsushi I?ve tasted. My bill including boba that is tasty without tapioca (I think they use instant tapioca) came out to $23?? Igave a $40 and let them keep the change based on how satisfied I was.
