Nothing like an unethical run operation in my opinion and experience. I booked a reservation in February 2022 with the Glunz... Ocean Beach Hotel & Resort. We have been coming back every year for the past several years. My plan was to look elsewhere afterI was initially told my price would be much higher. I found another place down the street that I was going to book. At whichtime I was talking with an owner of the Glunz and I was told he would honor my price from this year, if I decided to book againfor 2023. He said it was all taken care of and I would need to go up to the counter and book. I figured it would make iteasier than looking at a new location, I went up to the reception desk and booked with like he said and they took my deposit andput his name in the system, just like he said and sent me a confirmation. At this time I let the other place go that I waslooking at booking.\nA couple weeks back, I was speaking with my brother about our upcoming trip to the Glunz in marathon inFebruary and I couldn\'t remember if we were checking in on Friday or Saturday, so I called. The receptionist told me the dateand time of check-in so she emailed me a new confirmation with a price that is $20,000.00 more than what I was paying. That isright. $20,000.00 more. I researched all of me emails and found my original confirmation, with the price I booked at for themuch lower price.\nI would have never known until I showed up to check in. In my opinion you talk about a bait a switch, thiswas exactly that. This seems unethical to me and a terrible sign of customer experience. I was just floored, especially whenwe stayed last year and the pool that was supposed to be heated and fixed was still broken. The suite was filthy and wepurchased our own cleaning supplies to clean the suite.\nIt is extremely sad to see places fall apart and to see mgr/owners nolonger care about patrons who have stuck with them after Irma. If you want to be on the beach, with a good place to eat and drink right next door, this is the place for you. The beach is... small (Most of them are), but it\'s a beach. Pool is nice and warm. A standard room is pretty small. Read more

We were referred to Glunz resort from our fellow Canadians, many who stop for overnights before or after Key West trips. My... husband and I were very pleased with everything - the hospitality of the front desk staff who willingly let us store our luggagewhen our flight was in the evening. This resort is amazing!!! My family and I had a fantastic time this Labor Day weekend. The staff was very friendly and the... service was outstanding!
