Went for hibachi to celebrate a birthday. We just weren't really impressed by the food here or the overall atmosphere. The fried... rice was floating in oil, the dipping sauces were sweet and unusual and the portion of salmon and steak served wasdisappointing, especially since I paid $46 for my meal. Service was okay, our hibachi chef was boring but it seemed that thechefs around us put on a much energetic show. Won?t be back Read more

Probably not return at least for awhile. Seemed dirty, rice all over, bathroom terrible. Our chef got into it with a customer... who wanted steak well done. He objected said shouldn?t be cooked that way. Embarrassing to him. Also chef not very enthusiastic. What happened to the show? Some drinks strong, some week. Yes it was busy but that place needs a makeover.Vernon hills. Read more

Have visited this restaurant a few times in the past. We like to go there for special occasions. Unfortunately, our visit on... Sunday Aug. 21, 2022 at 7:30pm, was far less than what we expected. We reserved for a party of 4 adults, at a hibachi table. It was to be a birthday celebration for our son, who was turning 23 years old. The tradition in our family is that we always togo a Japanese Steakhouse / Hibachi restaurant on these special dates. We had barely put our "butts in the chairs" at our table, before our server presented herself, and pretty much demanded that we place our order. After explaining to her (Ming was hername) that we'd not even had a chance to look at the menu yet, she walked away. When she returned (1 minute later) to take ourorder, we told her that we'd like to order some apps and sushi. She directed us to the "flip side" of the dinner menu where shesaid their sushi offerings were. I've been to this restaurant several times in the past, and reminded her that there IS a sushi"check off" menu that we'd like to order from. Begrudgingly, she then acknowledged that she'd bring the "sushi menu"...onlyafter I had demanded to see it. If that wasn't bad enough, she then returned about 10 seconds later, and demanded that we placeour order! I told her at that point that I didn't want to be "rushed" and that we would let her know when we were ready toorder our sushi and apps. That episode put a very bad taste in our mouths (no pun intended) about the whole dining experienceahead of us. I really don't remember too much more about the night, because I felt that we were unwelcome, and a nuisance tothe wait staff. Our hibachi chef was John. I suppose he's experienced enough (and we were reminded of that by the waitstaff,,,,about how "lucky" we were to have 'John' as our chef.) Gotta say, though, I felt that he was a bit snarky (as did ourparty of 4ppl. feel that way.) He made a snide remark to me, as he prepared the meal, to "NOT Read more
