After a long day of travel following tent camping for two weeks, we longed for a peaceful and nourishing meal. It seemed that... The Bruce might fit that longing. Unfortunately, although the food was alright but not special, the situation in the restauranton the night we visited was loud. ALL of the servers seemed more interested in a birthday party with loud band than in thecustomers who were not partying. As seniors and tired campers, we were definitely not partying. We were offered seating on thepatio. Over the course of our meal, we had four different servers appear and then disappear--the party seemed to be their mainconcern. We had to coax everything from getting a menu to getting our food to getting the bill at the end. I was sorry that wehad chosen The Bruce. However, there was one silver lining. We arrived just at sunset and, however bad the service was andhowever meh the food was, the scene from the patio of a Lake Huron sunset was gorgeous. We had heard about these gorgeousKincardine sunsets and were able to experience one ourselves. Check out the pics. Read more

Excellent restaurant with exquisite patio and live entertainment on Labour Day Sunday. Service was quick even thus the place was... completely packed and tables renewed several times during the service. Food was excellent with Steak Tacos choice. Meat wasperfectly cooked, flavourful with a super smoky aftertaste and very tender. Great presentation as well! They run out of seafoodchowder a bit too fast to our disappointment. Instead a mixed salad was served with side dressing and Caesar drinks wereabsolutely perfect, large, spicy and well garnished! ???? The caramel carrot cheese cake was to die for.. literally! Very yummy! We had an absolutely lovely time at Bruce’s and we recommend this great spot to everyone! Read more

After running into friends unexpectedly on Queen Street, Kincardine, we needed a location for a late impromptu lunch. The good... people at The Bruce were able to find us an outside, a sunny spot on the patio, with views down to the harbour and the lake. Tomake it a casual catch up, we shared a couple of plates: the Loaded Pretzel Board, and a bowl of Poutine. With a cheese burgerfor one of the kids, that was more than enough! So, with good food, cold beers, fantastic service, warm sun, great views, andeven better company, what's there to fault about an afternoon at The Bruce!!! Read more

The Bruce is a very nice spot. There is a large patio on the back with a beautiful view on the lake (especially during sunset).... Drinks are served with a lot of choice in draft beer. The food is good but a bit standard. Vegetarian options available. Read more
