Locale is a restaurant inside a beautiful old Victorian mansion on the main road of King City. They have a patio as well and... ample parking. The service was top notch and the food was tasty. The tuna salad had a delicious vinagrette and the cocktails ofthe night were tasty too. The pizza and pasta were both good, though the pizza was a bit burnt near the crust which made meleave the edges. Be prepared to spend here but all in all I enjoyed Locale! Read more
I can't believe this is so close to home and it took me years to try it! I'm so sad I didn't come sooner. The vibe inside makes... you feel like you're at a restaurant downtown Toronto with amazing cocktails, I wish I got a photo of the drinks. Guess I'llhave to come back ???? We were very excited to visit because we heard such good things. It was one of the biggest dissapointments ever. The food was ok... nothing special, as I had the lamb shank and my partner had the branzino. The thing that really got to us was the terribleservice, the rudeness and the lack of logical sense towards the customer. First off we wanted to replace the rice in one of thedishes because the person can't eat rice, instead of saying ok we don't replace, and giving us a side of something else theysaid no we will give you extra fennel. Which was one piece and not at all a replacement for the rice. Then we waited an hour ina non busy restaurant for our mains, why it took so long I'm unsure. We then ordered dessert and said it was a birthday insteadof comping the dessert which they said they would they brought two of the same dessert and another we ordered so for two peoplewe got 3 desserts which I thought was unnecessary. The meatballs for apps were ok, and the bread which they charge 5 dollarshad so little butter it barely was enough for one let alone two. Overall expected much more from this restaurant. But if youwant ok food, in King city then this is your place. Will not be coming back. Read more

I visited Locale yesterday for the first time to celebrate my birthday and I absolutely loved it!
