Great tasting bagels fresh out of the wood fired oven. Friendly staff too.
The bagels are EXCELLENT and this is the main point, of course. They also sell smoked salmon cream cheese and other types, which... they make themselves - also excellent. And they sell their overflow of toasted sesame seeds, which I love. Regarding theservice, I have always been treated politely and very efficiently, but not particularly warmly. Here's my totally unprofessionaltake on why. These people are perfectionists and are very stressed by the difficulties of running a small business that has hugecompetition and low profit margins. Unfortunately their stress shows. When I have taken the time to chat and engage, there iswarmth. Having been there many times, I would say that the previous reviews create a skewed impression. If you love really greatbagels and live nearby, you're cheating yourself if you don't give them your business. Update September 2022.
