Too expensive for what you get. 75$ for 3 plantains, 1 piece of chicken, 3 small pieces of pork, rice, beans, beats. You pay for... the pound and better not to take beans or other heavy food. Read more

TL;DR: If you speak Portuguese and are looking for company at breakfast, this is a decent spot for coxinha, kibbe, and coffee.... If you don't speak Portuguese and you come for the "buffet" you'll be really disappointed. Herói do Churrasco doesn't look orfeel like any other Churrasco. Honestly, when I came for lunch there was only ONE kind of meat (unidentifiable slices of superfatty pork that might have been belly). The decor is simple and cheap, but comfortable which is a plus. Most tables have salt, pepper, and Tabasco on a gingham plastic tablecloths. The service is nonexistent, but equally comfortable and friendly. If youspeak Portuguese. Both times I went to Herói they had to call over a translator because I was basically the only non-Portuguesespeaking person in the place. They're friendly, but it's tough to communicate with the staff if you don't speakPortuguese. Cleanliness is decent, too, though the lone window curtain in the place hasn't been washed since at least the lastdecade. The buffet and the glass food display cases appear clean and well maintained. Breakfast at the restaurant is a simpleand affordable affair. They had some good beef coxinha and kibbe, and seemed moderately popular with Portuguese-speakingconstruction workers. So the coffee is probably drinkable. The chicken coxinha I had, on the other hand, was undercooked. WhereHerói loses most of its stars is the afternoon buffet. It was depressingly bad. As mentioned before there was only one kind ofmeat (pork belly?), lasagna, spaghetti, and a few Brazilian staples like feijoada. Mostly it was a salad bar. And $18/lb (orwhatever it was) for salad is outrageous. The food wasn't even that good. The feijoada was just ok, but that pork belly wasunseasoned. I can't fault it for being dried out - it's a buffet line, after all - but without any other meat to compare it to Ihave to ding the kitchen another star for failing on the one thing you expect out of a churrasco: meat. So the ve Read more

Update on review: unfortunately the price is now changed to fixed $20 as an all you can eat model (without the meat) I hope they... change their mind and get back to price per pound - which is way more convenient and reasonable. Very authentic buffet stylerestaurant. Food is delicious and the environment very clean and cozy. Price point is also very good. Read more

Quite pricey. Paid 30$ for this box. Half of them are rice, noodle, potato. Can't see the price anywhere. Some items are good,... but chicken and pork belly are very dry, chewy, and salty. I don't think my dish worth 30$ at all. Edit to respond theowner: I know it supposed to be crunchy. That's why I complained that it is chewy, not crunchy. This typically happens when youleft pork belly out there for so long. I hope you can improve the quality based on the feedback instead of trying to educatecustomer who had bad experience in your restaurant. Read more

Really good flavor. It feels like a Brazilian place! The only complaint is that the food tends to get cold really soon.... Especially if you wait in line to order meat. Read more
