Went there for my birthday, it's a tapas restaurant. Pretty much everything on the menu was delicious. The fries were amazing,... probably the best fries I've ever had. Nice atmosphere, very good service. Good cocktails but not much variety of whisky, cognac, etc. The food is great. It used to be... even better but I'd guess Covid hit this restaurant as well. It's like a fancy tapas bar, so if you should order some dishes andshare. Usually a little bit expensive (depending on # dishes and drinks). We are regulars at Public and just visited again last night. Such a vibrant and cozy atmosphere. Impeccable service, casual yet... professional. The food is always amazing. We had the fried chicken which was cooked perfectly; the mussels in a saffron creamsauce - I could not get enough of the delicious sauce! We had the hand cut fries and the caramelized onion dip, which wasdelicious. We also had the grilled veggie/goat cheese with crostini. The attention to detail with cocktail menu is so lovely. Ihad a Gold Rush, which came in a beautiful ornate glass with gold etching along with an orange ice cube that had herbs frozeninside. I just love Public - from start to finish, they rock.
