The man I spoke to who was working the counter was amazingly kind and gave me a spectacular deal, I could hardly believe the... amount of food I had gotten for so cheap. The Tandoori chicken and Tikka Masala I had gotten there was some of the best I'd everhad. And the tandoori chicken was one of the tastiest things I had ever eaten, period. When I want to reward myself after examsI'll be sure to come back and buy as much of that tandoori chicken as I can walk away with!! Read more
If the food wasn't so good, I would give 1 star. The management/service is the worst. I have tried delivery and carry out and it... doesn't matter, plan on your food being 1 hour late. Not a place to squeeze in on your lunch break, that's for sure. They makeno apologies for the terrible service either. If you can accept this; it is great food. Is it worth the hassle; up to you. Food is fantastically flavorful, balanced, and not overly sweet like many other Indian locations. The spices used are absolutely... wonderful and I personally think Clay Oven is a step above Everest in Encinitas in terms of quality. That said it issignificantly more expensive. Whether or not the quality commands the significantly elevated premium is up to the individual. Read more
