Sicilia Bella! My New Favorite in La Jolla! On the advice of an Italian friend from Milan..i came to Bennie and Cynthias Sicilia... Bella for my Birthday...a truly amaxing experience, i called ahead to get a good table... and though its a walk up and order,Bennie made sure we were taken care of...Fom the antipasti Calamari artichokes and shrimp dusted in garbanzo flour, tosecondi..Carbonara .the vino bennie suggested was a wonderful combination , and finally the Cannolo....straight out of mychildhood ! Short walk from the La Jolla cove. This is a small location with great Italian sandwiches. I had the Parma which contained fresh... mozzarella, prosciutto, tomatoes, and homemade pesto on focaccia bread. The sandwich was large so I ended up eating half.
