I had the spicy tuna and the dirty blonde. The spicy tuner was not that great, great, no spice and very little flavor otherwise.... However, it was definitely very fresh. The dirty blonde on the other hand, was one of the best roles I've ever had in my life..Service was good good. Based on talking with a couple of other people that have been there several times, I would definitelyrecommend going but I would focus focus on their specialty rolls. You will Be pleased I am sure. Besides the wait time totally worth it! Sushi is my favorite food and I?m always willing to try new things. We had an aloha roll... that came topped with macadamias and it was so delicious. Also had a dank roll and the name hits home once you have your firstbite. We also had the beef gyoza which wasn?t too impressive. But the sushi is amazing. Located right in the heart of La Jolla Village?Nekosan has to be my favorite sushi spot in the area. Great, friendly service,... amazing food and their house hot Saki is delicious and flowing. Small place but with the addition of their outside seating,should have room for you and yours without a reservation. We usually go during the week, so cannot speak for weekends and orholidays.
