At first I thought this going to be the type of place that I remember dining at in New York City. I believe the restaurant has... been open less than a month. There were only two tables occupied as I entered. I was seated promptly. This seemed like the typeof intimate place that one might want share a date with that special person. There was the nice, relaxing sound of the Neyplaying in the background... 10 minutes later, the ambiance was ruined as a group of gentlemen began fiddling with the mediasystem to find a basketball game. I thought I had been thrust into a sports bar! As I opened the menu, the first thing I noticedwas that it "lights up." This is a nice touch for dimly lit restaurants, but the existing lighting was sufficient at the time. Iselected the Lamb Tikka Sandwich with spicy sauce. It came with a side order of fries. The Lamb and the fries were quite tasty.I expected the Lamb to come on some type of middle eastern or naan type bread, in stead of the tortilla type that it was servedon. Ney is a nice little place, but somehow I feel that they could have done much more with less. I look forward to my nextvisit. There are a few other items on the menu that I would like to try.
