We stayed one night in the Farmhouse Hayloft. We were very dissatisfied with our stay and the ridiculous price we were charged. Zero star rating. Pros: A bed (not very comfortable) and running water. Cons: Check in over phone was painfully slow and person helping didn't know policies of inn. Charge of $318 ( $75 per dog for our 2 well-behaved, non-shedding golden doodles) for one night for a room which measured apprx. 9 x 11, had slanted floor, little storage, and a toilet that was not balanced properly. There was no delivery of scones/pastries to our room in the morning (as they advertise), because the innkeeper "forgot". After expressing our disappointment to manager, we were told that she would discuss with the inn's owner and perhaps offer a discount for a future stay. We have not heard a word back. If you're planning a trip to beautiful Madeline Island, especially if traveling with dogs, I recommend you do so far in advance so as to avoid being in the position we were in. Staying in a third rate accommodation which is poorly managed, which failed to deliver advertsed amenities and being charged a ridiculously high rate for the experience.

We drove up to meddling falls for a Family Day of exploring caves and to enjoy the small town life. The farmhouse kitchen was a delicious experience. Friendly customer service service, food was on point. Everything was served in a timely manner I would definitely go here again.

We stayed for a weekend. Was wonderful, clean cozy rooms and the fresh breakfast pastries in the morning are a win. Already booked another visit and cant wait. I just hope that the restaurant will be open this time. We want breakfast!

This is one of those meals I dream about. Truly one of the best breakfasts I've ever had. The food was so fresh, and you could tell everything was made with care. The coffee was perfection. We were only visiting Madeline Island a couple of days, but after eating breakfast here the first day, we didn't bother to look for anywhere else because this food was so amazing - we just came back again.

We loved our stay at the Hayloft. The rocking chairs out front were a great touch, and the freshly baked scones delivered every morning were amazing. One suggestion is to have a broom and dustpan in each room. We'll be back!

Food is good, crazily overpriced. 35 for breakfast for two. I received one egg over easy hash browns a single sausage patty and coffee my wife had a waffle and coffee.

Farmhouse has the best food on Madeline Island. Dog friendly patio, wholesome ingredients, great coffee. Yes, prices seem high but remember everything here is either grown by the owners or brought over on the ferry. There are some service complaints in other reviews, which are probably legit, but?welcome to Madeline. Everything is like that here. The season is short and everyone?s entire staff turns over every year and you?ll have a lot better time here if you just accept that businesses in the area face some unique challenges. Personally, I really appreciate what this young couple is trying to do and encourage everyone to check them out and have a great meal.

We ordered the hash hash, cream puffs, & 2 cold brew coffees. Food was good, but very expensive for what you get. Also they failed to mention there is a 18% gratuity rate tacked onto your order - no sign anywhere or anything. Plus they had a tip jar out front in addition to that. We?re all for tipping well, but they don?t even wait on you. You just order at the window & pick your food up when they call your name. Don?t think we will be visiting this restaurant again.
