Amazing, homemade bbq! Everything was delicious and Stephanie is super sweet!
I was reading "An Economist Gets Lunch: New Rules for Everyday Foodies" and he had three rules for finding great BBQ. 1. They... open early and have limited hours to sell out as fast as possible. (Check.) 2. Find them in a town of less than 50,000 people.(Check.) 3. Great ribs are more common than great brisket, because brisket done right takes hours. Ribs can take just 90minutes. (Frosmokes has both) I wanted to test these rules and looked around to find BBQ in Illinois. My uncle lives in Lacon,and I was just itching for an excuse to visit, so I swung by FroSmokes on the way. What do you know? The three rules are spoton. I'll be back for the pulled pork. Also, a bottle of their house BBQ sauce was included in my order by mistake. I was tryingto order BBQ sauce for everyone's meal, oops. Turns out that sauce is also just perfect on shrimp, so it's a happy accident. Read more
