My first time in The Villages, my dad, stepmom, and I came to Ay Jalisco for dinner. We were seated outside (as we requested),... and were rewarded with a gorgeous sunset view of the Spanish Springs downtown area, and live music from a block away. Servicewas pretty good, and the food was delicious and generously portioned. I wanted to try a spicy margarita, so the waitress addedsliced jalapenos in the drink...delicious! Overall a decent experience, though it seems like they close pretty early (about 8pmI think). Read more
Extremely slow service and there was only one other couple when we went in. We chose this place because the Cadillac Margarita... came highly recommended. But I have to tell you I was sorely disappointed. I pride myself in knowing who has a good Margarita asit is my favorite drink. So I must tell you it was a disappointment. Absolutely awful experience. We waited a long time before they even brought us water and took 45 mins after that to get food.... Waitress never came and checked on us and my water was empty for my entire meal. Staff was rude, and the food was disgusting.The rice was dry, uncooked, as well as the chicken. Hairs on my plate, cheese was so thick I couldn?t even eat it. Menu isvague, thought I had ordered something completely different and it still was missing things. Bathrooms were absolutelydisgusting and so were the floors. Chips were stale too. Never coming here again please don?t waste your money, time, &calories. Taco Bell was better. Read more
Great food and service, albeit slow. There is a car show on the Square every third Saturday so the restaurant was packed.... Probably 80-100 guest. Only four servers though, hence the slow service. We respected they were busting their tails though.Probably a good idea of management to check out the calendar for the square. Been this way for a few decades. Only bad thing wasthe caso. Came with family of 5 for a late lunch. We came inside very quiet almost like they were closed. Lots of dirty tables on one... table had 2 people. Asked to sit outside he then said we cannot seat 5 ppl at a table due to spill hazards, cannot push tablestogether we then said we will just sit at 2 separate tables then. He said there is only one clean table outside. The others aredirty and 2ppl sitting at another. We were so close to just leaving. Decided to sit inside in corner round booth. Brought us anot full basket of chips 2 salsas hot/mild, we ordered our margarits,etc and 5 waters. Asked if music could be turned back on.20min no cheese dip, no drinks, no silverware or plates. Finally get drinks and cheese dip no waters. Ordered our meals and reminded about silverware, plates,asked for more chips for cheese dip and asked for more drinks including a non alcohol Pinacolada. Drinks came out with food, no chips, no plates no silverware. We could not find a single worker around. So we sat for15min. Finally ready to leave requested 4 boxes. We had 3ppl on 1 check and 2ppl on another he messed that up. Told him he saidgonna fix still wrong we just wanted to leave. Wanted for boxes.
