This by far is the best resort we have ever stayed at. Views from our room were exceptional. And the remodeled rooms were better... than expected. Grounds at the Hyatt were lush and well kept. Hotel is in excellent condition considering it was built maybe inthe 60's? Excellent condition! Employees were very professional and helpful, we loved them. Food was very good and had 3restaurants to choose from. Breakfast was first class at the Swan Restaurant. We cannot say enough about our stay at the HyattRegency Resort. It was exceptional and we loved it. Highly recommend! Read more

We just got back from a 4 night stay here. We had the best time! Rooms were clean and pretty, very comfy beds, and great... amenities. We loved the gigantic pool and yummy snow cones. The towel machines were so convenient for the pool or to take forthe day. The beach by the hotel is small and there was a drop-off in the water which made it unswimmable with the big waves. Butthere were plenty of other beaches around! Great stay! Read more

We just got back from 8 nights in a King Ocean View room for 2 adults and 2 infants (2 kids under 2yo). It was a wonderful stay!... I was worried about the space and how we'd fit in a room, the noise, the service, entertainment for the kids...and I must sayeverything was SUPERB. The room is huge, the 2 cribs fit without a problem and the bed is the most comfortable one I've everslept on. House keeping was also incredible and very necessary with 2 kids. The kids pool was more than what I expected andpictures do not do justice. I was very surprised by the food options, but specially the quality. We got to eat a lot of fish andwe enjoyed it so much. There are so many turtles popping up in the sea, right in front of the hotel. It has been an amazingexperience and I would really recommend this hotel and it's location this time of year. Note: It is far away from Haleakala andHana for a day trip if you have kids. Read more

Not bad. This is a kid friendly hotel. Not really a resort. None of the restaurants open till 5 so if you have kids and like bar... snack food for lunch make plans elsewhere. Pricey of course for convenience. Pool is set up weird not hand rails in the 4footdeep side to get out. Floaties cost $10 so bring your own. The kids side has a gravel bottom which was hard on your feet so wearswim shoes if you'll be on that side. The shared beach walk is the only way to get from one end of the pool to the other withoutactually being in the pool. It gets Super hot during the day so common theme is wear swim shoes. It is a fresh water poolthough. Lots if nuts on the beach and the waves make them hit each other, it's kind of a cool sound. Tide can be a bit strong attimes so no ideal for younger children. Again, swim shoes. Overall make reservations if you want to eat here. Mid day is hot andyou'll get a sun burn, and enjoy your time. It is in a good location and whalers village is about a 17min walk up the path. Read more

Came here for a few days for my wedding anniversary. Loved this resort! Valet was prompt, and they charge $50/day. The towel... kiosks are conveniently located throughout the hotel, and you use your wristband to check out towels. Speaking of, we liked thatthe wristbands worked like a key card for the rooms. The pool is huge, and there is a hot tub area as well. There is awaterslide for the kids and adults. Just make sure they can swim cause it goes in the deep end. The hotel had great customerservice, as check-in agents & poolside bartenders were prompt & friendly. There is a shaved ice stand right on property that isgood & very convenient. The beach area was nice, and a pretty long stretch. Definitely less crowded than any beach on Honolulu. We didn't eat at any of the hotel restaurants due to having outside reservations, but there are a handful of them, though justknow they are pricey. This is Maui. As for the room, you'll notice at night that there are motion lights in the room around thebottom of the bed, as well as in the bathroom that are tired. That was neat. If you get a certain room or have certain statuswith Hyatt, you'll have access tot he Regency Club as well. As for the RC, it's worth it for the daily breakfast and afternoonappetizers which are sizable enough to be dinner. However, that's pretty much all you get besides a bag of chips & coffee/juice.There's no alcohol offered, and worse, you have to pay for drinks, which I've never seen in a regency club at any other HyattRegency anywhere. That's disappointing. That aside, the staff is very nice & helpful. Also, this hotel is close to many otherrestaurants within a 10-minute drive, and there's a open-air shopping center with eateries close by. Read more
