The best sticky buns I ever tasted. I was "ordered" by a friend to get sticky buns when I went to PA as she had heard they were... the best. We just happened to be driving through Lancaster so stopped to pick some up on our way home. Of course, we had totry them for ourselves. First, they are huge. I ate mine a quarter at a time. It was as good cold as it was warm. Didn't get"stale" as the day worn on. They are definitely worth a trip to get some. Read more
To start, BEST CINNAMON BUNS/ STICKY BUNS I'VE EVER HAD. They are sweet and soft, but not too sweet you can't eat a whole one... in a single sitting (yes, I did this and I don't regret it!) Second, the staff was so friendly, it made my day just to talk tothe sweet cashier for a few minutes. Also, when greeting us, the cashier said "Hello ladies." But when looking at us, you could question the "ladies" part, so she said "Hello Folks." It was just a small, inclusive gesture that most would brush off, but itmeant a lot. This place is one of the best hole in the wall hidden gems you can possibly find. Its tucked just off Route 30 in a little shed... next to the Lancaster Visitors Center. But here you can grab the greatest sticky buns and cinnamon rolls you'll ever have. Theyhave a couple different delicious choices for icing to put on your cinnamon roll. But my favorite treat there has to be theWalnut Sticky. So good! They even sell coffee as well as Maplehofe chocolate milk to go along with it. Read more
If there is any place that makes a better cinnamon roll, I really don't want to know where that is. We drove 45 minutes to get... there- and the drive was absolutely worth it. Prices are very reasonable as well. It was a very nice day- we sat at the picnictable to eat. Plus, this location is right beside a visitors center. Could make for a nice outing.
