I?m from California, but I was visiting a friend in Lansdale this past week. He?s mentioned the Tavern so many times before; I... knew I had to check it out. The second I walked in, I loved it! From the vibe and decor, to the staff, to the food, this placeis awesome! And the buffalo chicken dip is ???? Kudos to everyone who helped make my two visits to the Tavern so memorable. Not only is it one of the most poppin places in Lansdale, but the food... is great, the drinks are great, they always have a large and varied beer selection, and considering how small the kitchen is thewait times for food really isn?t bad at all! Staff is nice and attentive and you will get your drinks fast. But when it comes to food is a very different story and I suggest... you go somewhere else for that. I waited over an hour for a few burgers and had to leave (They quoted me 45min). Once Iexpressed my desire to leave the food magically appeared and the owner was inquiring real quick about my experience. What sentme over the edge was watching other people getting their food even though they had gotten there much much later. Maybe they havea small kitchen or not a good system to keep track of orders. Or Maybe just pure favoritism with the regulars. For what I couldgather this place is poorly managed.Thank goodness that there are better choices in town. Really hope you train your staffbetter and hire more cooks. You are not a 5 star restaurant for people to have to wait for a simple burger. I absolutely adore this place! The food is incredible and the staff is always so friendly and great. Julie the owner is always... incredible and accommodating no matter how busy they may be. Tonight was the first eagles game and with a packed house, we werewarned of a possible wait for food, estimated at 45 minutes. It came out closer to 30 but again, with them as busy as they wereand always communicating potential waits, it was still an amazing dining experience. Thanksnfor a great meal and drinks asalways!
