Wonderful stay. Rooms very clean and nice (we stayed in the Gold tower). Everyone that worked there was very friendly. The... gaming floor is very nice, fun. Prices at the gift shops, restaurants and other venues were good, no gouging of price. That wasnice. The hotel is super clean. Our first time staying here. We noticed it is so much easier to park, check in, get to the roomthat at the properties in the big part of the strip. Having Freemont Street right out front was great entertainment. Billy RayCyrus was playing - free concert - and other nights some good cover bands. After years or staying on the strip, our next tripwill be back here. Very, very nice. Read more

I toured the Golden Nugget and it has a much more unique atmosphere than the main Vegas strip if you're looking for something... different for a change and is well worth it! If you ever get tired of the main Vegas strip hassles but still have the Vegasurge, I would recommend staying at the Golden Nugget! The resort is well decorated, has really good nightclub, and a uniquechange of atmosphere compared to the resorts on the main Vegas strip where you have to walk a distances to everything. At theold Vegas strip, the atmosphere is uniquely different but good too. You can also walk everywhere within a reasonable distance.The pool is pretty exciting, has pool slides, and plenty of shaded areas too. I think the pool is also great for the kids, as amatter of fact, this is the best resort to take your kids too because of the pool at this resort! Read more

Very nice hotel. Room was clean and nice. Decent prices. Slots were fairly loose. Buffet was a bit pricey. Pool was fantastic.... Service through the entire facility was stellar, everyone was so nice. Only complaint was that some of the elevators weremalfunctioning while I was there. Read more

I just stopped in to have a quick look around and have some breakfast. The casino seems very nice and clean, but I did not play... any games. I walked over to look at the pool area. Due to the early morning hours, it was not open and they were cleaning. But Icould see it through the windows and it looks like a wonderful place to spend some time. The Shark Tank in the center of thepool is pretty amazing. I went upstairs to the buffet to have some breakfast. The buffet was very good, I think the price wasabout $15 which includes your beverage. They had a great variety of options, including an omelet station. I enjoyed thebreakfast very much and the service was great. Read more

We had a great stay here during our visit to Vegas. Our room was in the Carson Tower part of the hotel, which we were told was... recently renovated. It didn?t seem especially nice or new but it was just fine for what we paid. Room service was quick andfairly reasonably priced for what it was, but note that they are not very accommodating with substitutions. I requested andsmall side salad instead of fries with my sandwich (would have been happy to pay more), but they said they ?don?t do that.? Nota huge deal. The casino was very fun, the buffet was good. The pool was okay - it?s pretty cramped and there?s no shade. Thelounge chairs are really packed in with no room in between. However, the pool bar service was prompt and friendly. I woulddefinitely stay here again. Read more
