A pretty nice and spacious spot located along Spring Mountain Rd. They have a good variety of food so everyone can enjoy... something. I personally liked the skewers. The yakitori and waygu skewers were excellent. They had tons of flavor and wastender. My friends enjoyed a variety of sushi items. The milk and cookies dessert is definitely a must try! My experience at Robata En was mixed. The food was great, but the service really put a damper on my overall experience. This is... the first time when service has seriously affected my dining experience, especially because it seemed to be an isolated incidentspecific to my table. Service - We arrived on time for our 8pm reservation and were promptly seated. The server explained themenu to us with a great deal of emphasis on the 8-course tasting menu being perfect for the two of us. It felt like they werereally pushing for it. This is our first time here, so we went with it. Throughout the evening, two different staff waited us.One of them is clearly less experienced, so maybe they structured it this way for the more experienced one to help him. Thesushi and sashimi course did not come with soy sauce. When we asked for it 2 minutes after the course was served, the waiter'sresponse sounded like he was already going to get it and our question beat him to it. I would've been okay if he said no soysauce is needed for the food (i.e. intentionally no soy sauce) or that he forgot but will get it now (which looks to be the caseto me). The entrees were served without cutlery except for the chopsticks we already have. We once again waited 2 minutes beforeasking the waiters for them. The experienced waiter quickly handed my husband one knife and one fork. I had to demand a secondset of cutlery for myself. The entire service was very drawn out with long wait times between courses. After the dessert platewas cleared, we waited 10 minutes to get our bill and another 5 for our credit card to be picked up and processed. All thecheck-ins were walk-bys. Normally this wouldn't bother me nearly as much knowing how short staffed most restaurants are, but thecircumstances appeared that these treatments were specific to us. Delicately designed delicious Japanese dishes. Advance reservation is needed. We ordered Chef Choice 8 courses, including 2 cold... plates, 1 hot plate, 1 sashimi, 1 roll, 1 seafood entry, 1 meat entry, and 1 dessert.
