Menu for The Oread Hotel in Lawrence, KS

The desk clerk was very disrespectful and was arguing about the low Orbitz price (I had an email and text confirmation.) She... tried to add a bunch of extra charges, we didn't want. The reservation was VIP (we travel a lot) and included two free drinks.When I asked where the bar was she said we could get two cups of black coffee free; only. Finally, I was in a wheelchair and shesaid I didn't have a handicapped room on the reservation and put me in a normal room. It was Halloween and the hotel wascompletely empty. Finally, I was in tears and we left the Oread and found different hotel. Luckily, the money for the Oread wasrefunded a couple of days later. Worst check-in of my life. The hotel is nice from the outside but the rooms are very bland! Not worth the price at all. My daughter left 3 dresses in the... closet and forgot them. We called about an hour after we checked out and were told they did not find them. Very poormanagement! Read more

Charged twice and unable to get assistance from the hotel because they won?t call me back and their email address is invalid. I... have no choice but to file a fraud claim with my credit card. Room was bare bones & stairwell smelled like vomit because theycater to drunk football fans. You pay for proximity and nothing more. Read more

The only thing good about this hotel was the proximity to The Here for moving my son in. The restaurant was not open. They... charge you for a cup of coffee in the morning... Even Motel 6 gives free coffee. But my biggest complaint is upon check out Iasked them to email me my bill, never got it, called and asked for them to email me. They informed me that they would sendagain, never got it, sent an email for it, still haven't received it. Then upon looking at my statement they over charged me forparking. I called and was sent to a VM for accounting. Guess what never called back. Just called again and left a VM... Stillnot resolved. Read more
