Gerri our waitress was amazing Since moving to the west coast i have missed great caring wait staff and even though it was busy... our server was on the ball and made me feel like we were her only table. Wayne and Larry's restaurant is adjacent to the royal crest bowling alley at 9th and Iowa in Lawrence, KS. The menu is filled... with many sandwich selections and regular meals. My favorites are the hamburger, patty melt and chicken fried steak. The frenchfries are cooked to perfection and the onion rings are nice and crunchy. The waitresses are excellent, friendly and veryattentive. If you seek a nice, friendly and laid back restaurant, then Wayne and Larry's is a great choice! Read more
We try to go once a week. Awesome bartender and good food
Do not go here. I went here with my mother for a beer and a burger and had one of the worst burgers you could imagine. There... burgers are "Juicy" in the greasiest frozen burger patty kind of way. I had a Mac and Cheese burger, I got a gray lookingdefrosted hamburger that looked and tasted like it sat under there line for days. My side was french fries, how can you messthat up you ask? they were under cooked limp out of the freezer fries(I don't mind freezer fries as long as there cooked). Itook about 2 bites of the burger and ate a french fry and left the plate. The cherry on top of this awful cake was that iordered a Dunkel beer from there tap, it tasted Sour and like they haven't even cleaned there lines in years. All together itook 4 bites of food and 2 sips of beer and my meal was over. let this be your warning. Only old people with bland taste buds gohere if you like greasy bland undercooked food this is your place. Read more
