Been coming to this place my whole life and still loving it! Nothing fancy just delicious barbecue, beef and pork as well as... delicious sauce and sides! Had the coleslaw today but the potato salad is also the bomb! John and Cooks has been open since 1936and is still family owned by the fifth generation. Sooooo good! Cost was really high for the quality we received, the pulled pork wasn?t tasty at all, and dry too. I understand it was later in... the day but it was old, I normally don?t leave reviews but I paid 105$ for this meal for my family, and very sadly won?t ever doit again. The meat was in paper bags and it seems to be cheaply made and not good quality. I?m sorry I really don?t like toleave any comments unless it?s really good or really not good. But I wanted to make an effort to share because it wasn?t worthwhat I spent. It may have only been from today but if it?s always this way I just don?t know how they have a 4.3 starreview. This little place was fantastic from the service to the food. The owner was super nice. He brought our grandkids rib tips to... enjoy before the food came out. Then gave them some lemon cake for dessert. The BBQ is delicious! Not one of the eight of uswe're disappointed! Food and service done right! Read more
