In a word: "Wow"! First time in this place and I can honestly say that it was the best restaurant atmosphere, best restaurant... food, and best restaurant staff I have experienced in a LONG time! The character of the atmosphere makes you feel appreciatedand taken care of. The food -oh the food!!!- was SO GOOD! Their 1/4 lb burgers are clearly 1/4 lb AFTER being cooked when mostrestaurants 1/4 lb burgers are weighed before being cooked. Fresh, never frozen 100% Angus beef were cooked perfectly and theyhad the best fries I have literally ever tasted in a restaurant!! Also, the HOMEMADE buns were so delicious - light and fluffywith a hint of sweet. Oh! And the best sweet tea in the South! I had to have a refill and I never drink more than a glass ofanything! The staff were so gracious and kind, going above and beyond to make our time there meaningful! So....Wow! Superawesome job McKenzie's!! McKenzie?s Burger Garage Nostalgia! If you?re a car buff, racing daydreamer, or just a fan of good burgers, McKenzie?s Garage... needs to be on your to-do list. I heard it was built in the remains of a very heavily renovated tune-up garage, and itdefinitely has the feel that it could have been. What you have currently, is neon and 90?s? and that?s not a bad thing. You feellike you?re stepping back into another time, with juke boxes and phone booths, and it is a lot of fun. This restaurant is greatfor families, casual work lunches, and burger aficionados. This may not be your place if you?re looking for a quiet seductiveplace to take your special someone for their 10th anniversary. The staff is pleasant, cordial, and have smiles on their faces.A friendly waitress came up twice to make sure everything was going well and tasting excellent, and it was. The restaurant andrestrooms were very clean and well lit. If there were any complaints to be had, it would be that my burger took a minute tomake. But what may seem to be a small complaint, in reality, is because the burgers and fries (from what I could tell) are allmade to order? and that?s definitely NOT a complaint. My desire to try something different had me ordering the Pizza Burger.Lite on the sauce but heavy on the mozzarella and pepperoni, this thing was anything but ?standard burger?? and it was great. Take the time to look at a menu, immerse yourself in the cleaver menu titles, and try a burger out of your comfort zone. ThePizza Burger, Green Chili Burger, and Afterburner Burger are all good bets for those who want something different or somethingwith a little heat.
