Decided to lunch here because our son is a train guy. Good service: we were seated right away and our drinks never got to empty... before being refilled. Our family had a combination of breakfast and lunch, and the breakfast was definitely the best. Myhusband loved his pancakes. Two of us had chicken fried steak that was nicely spiced and a very generous portion. I had thechicken salad which was supposed to have grapes but I couldn't find one; it was way too heavy on the mayo for me and served ona bun which I didn't find very aesthetically pleasing. If you're lucky enough to find this gem, and you live an hour away, IT'S WORTH THE DRIVE! We were greeted by one of the owners... Mary (mind you it's very busy and maybe about 1130am), wait wasn't too terrible, plus it was building up our suspense to say theleast, we were called then seated by Mary who told us both breakfast and lunch are available and Laci would be our waitress (whowas spectacular btw!) Photos entail a tenderloin sandwich with sub sweet potato fried (upcharge $1), and I got the infamoussmoked chicken/sweet potatoes Benedict. Smaller portion than i expected but it filled me up just perfectly and not sooverbearingly full. Eggs were cooked perfectly (for me at least, exactly how I wanted them). I didn't really see or taste awhole lot of caramelized onions, kinda short on the hollandaise sauce, I did request more (upcharge $2) but let me tell youwhat, it is hard to find a good hollandaise sauce, and I was incredibly impressed with theirs and had to ask for morr! Sweettaters were amazing with this benedict. The tenderloin tasted super good (gotta have ranch naturally) ???? even tho it's aboutan hour away, and even with my minor discrepancies with the dish, they'd still get 6 stars+ if I could grant them. Hospitalityand great tasting food was top notch, the whole place ran like a well oiled machine even with what appeared to be chaos onaccount of how busy it was! This place is so cozy! The entire staff from the hostesses, servers and bussers were incredibly warm and welcoming. The chicken... and waffles tasted great with lots of flavor. Perfectly cooked over medium eggs. Definitely a great local spot for breakfast. Read more
James did a fantastic job as our waiter - super chill and helpful. The Depot is arguably one of the best spots in Leavenworth.... Have come here many times and it is always awesome - the Lady Marmalade Burger is soooo good! Great place to bring friends andfamily and give them a taste of classic American food and hospitality! Where do I start. Everything I've ever ordered has been cooked to perfection and taste absolutely amazing. I typically order my... food to go but today we decided to dine-in, James was our server and I must say I was truly impressed with his customer service.He was friendly, he offered menu suggestions and made us feel right at home. We came in during lunch hours the restaurant wasbusy but the service was fast. We will definitely continue to try new menu items and will dine-in more often due to today'sexperience.
