Kansas City has so many BBQ places and Meat Mitch is now officially on my list of good ones! The ambiance is great and the staff... was beyond friendly. Plus, they were fully staffed; which is a luxury these days. We ordered the Pitmaster Platter so we couldsample several things. The portions were exactly what I expected for $42. The menu states it will feed two people, but westretched it into 4 meals because we eat pretty light. If we had been super hungry, it probably would have been 2-3 meals. Theyalso have several $6 apps during happy hour; which are nice portion sizes. The meat: The ribs and brisket were great. The burntends, sausage and pulled pork were all good. As I’m writing this review, I just realized our platter was supposed to havesmoked turkey, but it didn’t. To be fair, I’m just realizing this and I’m confident if we had asked our waiter at the timeof our meal, they would have brought out the missing turkey. The sides: I really enjoyed the sides. They had a great variety tochoose from. We went with the cheesy corn bake, broccoli slaw and fries and alm were excellent. While the meat was great, I willreturn again just for the sides. They were fantastic! The sauce: The sauce variety was one of my favorite parts of our diningexperience at Meat Mitch. They had six different sauces to choose from; including a white sauce and a mustard sauce. Those wereboth good and it’s nice to see them in KC, but favorite was the char bar table sauce. Soooooo good! The environment: Theoutdoor seating is excellent. Not only is there ample space on the shady patio, but they have fun turf lawns with corn holegames set up. This would be the perfect summer happy hour location. The indoor seating was also abundant, clean and had avariety of table styles - high tops, low tops, booth and bar seating. Good happy hour. Had the ribs, very tender and a good smoke on them! My only downside would be their sauces are too sweet for... my taste. I would order ribs dry next time if that's an option! Will go back for sure! Read more
I love going to a BBQ place and seeing so many dishes that I want to try, I know I’ll HAVE to come back. Our three meat... platter (burnt ends, pulled pork, ribs) was awesome, sides (cheesy corn and beans) were awesome, and family said the royal smashburger was delicious also. The sauces are obviously good since it’s Meat Mitch but if you’ve never had them please go trythem asap. Vibes are nice and I like the aesthetic. Pimento spread was awesome. Brisket was solid. Beans had way too much chili powder for me. Although, I loved all the meat in... the beans. I know a lot of people love beans with chili powder. It's just not my favorite. Probably should be 4.5. Very goodservice. Read more
