Staff were friendly & the manager was friendly & sociable. Isaac's is PA franchise and brings competition to a crowded sandwich... restaurant scene. To survive in this environment one needs to bring something special to the table. The poster at the entranceshowing a corned beef sandwich was promising of things to expect. The waitress was friendly and brought us water and a supersmall dish of free pickled pickles, which was good. The ambience was Ok, could have been more open plan & welcoming. Not sure ifthey had made up their mind to go with sports bar theme or just have couple randomly placed small flat screens at the bar. Themenu's were well laid out but the choice of names for the various sandwich were confused & ill thought out. Why not call a Hamsandwich a Ham sandwich instead of a Penguin whatever? There was just another couple dining at the far end of the isle, but ittook a long while for the food to arrive. The order was for Fish & chips & a Ham sandwich with a fancy name. The sandwich lookedfine & the accompanying chips was Isaac's own kettle chips(*more later). The fish & chips appeared unappetizing with a dwindlingpopulation of chips(a handful thrown in as an after thought). The fish were presented as 2 underfed gladiators at the colosseum.Their diminutive appearance on a rather large plate amidst a few scattered fries. The fish put up a good fight as it was veryhard to penetrate their breaded amour, fried to an impenetrable hardness. Succeeding to penetrate this protective covering onefound very little gladiator(fish) inside. The sandwich was ordered with honey mustard but came with oodles of mayo. There wassomething not right, probably rotting lettuce or tomato. My wife ate just one quarter sandwich and took the rest home for theopossums. *Oh the kettle chips, though well within the sell-by date was rancid on opening it at home. Discarded it as toodangerous to feed to even the opossums. Sadly not a good experience & unfair to the waitressing Read more

walked in, got seated right away.. but sat at our booth for 10 minutes with no greeting, or service. Three tables were sat... around us and served immediately. We got up and walked out, spoke to the manager and told her what happened, and she said?thanks for letting me know,? and let us walk out. This was our first time here and it was a terrible experience. Read more

Fair restaurant overall. Service was good, food was good prices were fair. I am only giving this 3 stars because it was just... good and not great, I would recommend this place for casual lunch dates or meetings. I ordered the Mallard, I was surprised athow small it was for $12. I would have expected more roast beef. My wife ordered the Ruben and it was a little dry. I was alittle disappointed expecting more from a sandwich shop. Read more
