Fantastic! From the moment we walked in to the moment we got our food was 20 minutes or less! And the food was so good, I forgot... to take a stinking picture. I believe it was the Pancho's Special? Basic chicken, steak, cheese sauce and rice - I figured asafe recipe to order at any restaurant, but it actually is better than any restaurant we've been at so far. Oh, did I mentionthe sweet tea was also perfect? I'm picky when it comes to that, it's usually a weird brewed tasted I can't describe at Mexicanrestaurants, but they've nailed theirs here. Food was OK but waited forever to get drink orders. Refills didn't happen without getting up and requesting more. Had to get up... and ask for cheese dip which was also late coming out, right before food. Fix the service and would get more stars. Read more
I've loved coming to this place since around 2006. Service is fabulously friendly, and always has been. The atmosphere inside is... comfortable, and the food is so good I can never get a picture of it before I've eaten all of it. Salsa and chips are alsoamazing. Tip your servers well, they deserve it! Hopefully next trip in I'll control myself well enough to get some photos offood. Will definitely be back for more! Read more

El Cazador, meaning "the Hunter" in Spanish, is my favourite Mexican Restaurant in Birmingham, bar none! The Food & service are... excellent. CHILES RELLENOS ARE THE BEST ONES I HAVE HAD IN THE GREATER BHAM AREA since they don't batter and fry them like mostMexican restaurants who seem to cater mainly to the American palate. Speaking of which, the El Cazador salsa is a bit too Spicyfor many people who have accompanied me there (and sometimes a wee bit Spicy for me, but I save a little bit to put on my ChileRellenos, tacos, burritos, etc and it only makes a great thing better!) I dine here often and can honestly say that theexcellence of their food and service is consistent, as it is at the El Cazador Restaurante on Montclair near Irondale.
