This is one of the breweries we stopped at during a day trip to Leesburg. It does feel like a newer brewery, however, I foresee... it doing well if they improve upon what they already have. The talon's out was very close yuengling and the schrute was veryclose to Guinness. Small but good brewery overall. Read more
In an effort to finally complete the Loudoun County Ale Trail map in one day, my partner and I endeavored to go to 8 breweries... in 8 hours. Barnhouse Brewery was stop 7 of 8 and it was a refreshing and pleasant surprise. The Hop Dog beer was the first beerof the day where my first reaction was a legitimate "wow, that's good," out of a plethora of other well-liked breweries in thearea. They also have a tasty Hard Root Beer which is a great change of pace from other local offerings. It's a laid-back taproom with drinkable, delicious brews. I will be sure to return! Read more
We did a full flight run on their darks and it was four winners. The Irish Dry Stout and Banshee Irish Red are all-day, session... drinkers delivering full body and flavor with an ABV that won't put you to bed early. The Quarterhorse Porter offered aninteresting complexity of flavor that was well received. And the nitro milk stout borders on being a dessert beer whileremaining very drinkable. Add in the atmosphere and relaxed setting of the grounds, this is a 7.8/10. If you're near here, gohere. Really fantastic spot. Read more
This was our first stop on a day we visited 3 local beer/wine locations. This brewery seems rather new. Good selection of beer... and the option of getting a flight was awesome to allow us a good tasting of options. Today was a little cold so we did not sitoutside but I feel the warmer months will be more fun as the seating room was a little small and the addition of a live bandmade for a loud environment. Still, the entertainment was good. I liked the IPA options more than the Irish Red or Stout - butall were good. Staff was very friendly and helpful in selecting beer options. Read more

Hadn't been in years but it's better than I remember. Great beer, excellent customer service, wonderful live music, and good... food truck the day we went. Now with Indoor and outdoor seating with plenty of space for kids and dogs (on leashes) to run.Outdoors there is a fire pit and seating down on the patio as well as up on the porch.
