Went through the drive thru this morning at 8am with three hungry kids in the car and the employee insisted that the app didn't... take payment and I needed to pay again. I didn't have my wallet (because I was rushing to school drop off) and he refused tocancel the order and try running it through the app again. I was able to use the same app and choose lobby pick up instead andit ran my card just fine. Now I'm showing two pending charges on my card and we're late to school. I am super impressed with the young staff that was on it tonight!!!!!... NOTE CONTEXT: I am a business owner partly in an... office partly a digital nomad... I have recently moved up to the Silicon Slopes area south of Salt Lake, I have tested out 11McDonalds to see what the feel, environment, staff, and food are like for me to return regularly to work on my laptop and enjoysome hot or cold comfort for a lower price in the crazy inflated economy we are in.. and my family of 7 ... I like this locationthe best, it is selfishly close to my house, the views are awesome, the surrounding businesses, shopping, food, trails, andparks are fantastic... The seating setting is super flexible, with plugs for laptops, and a great play place for kiddos or anopen atmosphere while eating... SO ... HERE IS WHY I AM so impressed tonight... I have worked in many industries and the foodservices industry is tough! I myself want what is in a picture... I want fresh, I like hot when it's supposed to be hot... Icame in to try this location out...I had an issue with the service and my order of fries... I won't go into details aboutwhat I felt was lacking or my complaint because the staff (a young male manager and a young female employee I am guessing) thathelped me heard my criticism, complaints, and feedback and they took it awesomely, they smiled and made everything perfect... Iknow I can be abrasive in my tone and demeanor and they owned things, smiled, and were problem solvers... STAFF IS HALF THEBATTLE for winning and retaining loyal fans and customers... Fries were cold and soggy. Cheeseburger was dry and looked like it sat under the heat lamp too long. The staff were very... friendly. When they were handing us our food in the drive through a manager came to have the worker take a break. Instead offinishing he left, so we had to wait a few more minutes until someone else came to finish. That was weird. Read more
I know you shouldn't expect much out of McDonald's, but this location, especially considering it being in the location it is, is... very disappointing. Every single table is dirty, the floor is disgusting, the counter by the drinks is covered in trash. Orderstake a painfully long amount of time and food is not fresh. The employees are slow. Manager that was working around 1:30pm on Sunday November 13 refused to give me a refund for items they didn't give us in the... drive thru unless we turned around to go inside and lied that this is the only way the are able. Having worked at McDonald'sonce, I know that refusal to do this without me coming in was out of laziness. She refused to give me her name or districtnumber to lodge a complaint, and said she was trying to help but only would if we came in. She has no business being a managerwith this poor attitude and customer service, refusal to give refunds for items we didn't receive unless we spend more gas moneyto go back to get something we paid to get in the first place. I won't be returning to this location unless she's beenrelocated or demoted. Read more
