We love Cuban food. And being married to a Cuban man from south Florida has made me a bit picky when it comes to this... cuisine. The fried yuca with the special sauce is fantastic. The ropa is tender and flavorful. And the Cubano is perfection. Butthis coffee...this tiny little cup of coffee is what literal hopes and dreams tastes like. Read more
We were visiting the area overnight for my brother's 70th birthday. When I went in to inquire about takeout, the man at the... counter told me that the 3 dishes we wanted to try were unavailable. Disappointed, I relayed our situation to him and a youngwoman that worked there. After some discussion between them, it seemed to me that the woman had no interest in making anyattempt to acommodate us. They offer just 7 entrees and 2 of those (arrow con pollo and Pollo asado) were not available. Of 6starters, 1 (tamales) was not available on a Saturday evening. Absolutely amazing place to eat. Food is always delicious and the atmosphere is so inviting, not to mention the sweet owner, ... Iris!!! She always treats us extra special and that and many other reasons keep us coming back!!! Although the food is great,leave room for dessert because they are fabulous. Definitely hard to beat a Tres Leches cake but the slice or portion sizewill leave you a gasp and if that's not your thing, then the Havana Sunset is to die for!!!
