Outback has always been a birthday favorite in my family. We were able to celebrate my little brother?s 21st birthday last... weekend at the new outback steakhouse by the mall in Lexington Kentucky. Nice, clean new venue with an open seating concept, Ipersonally do miss the style of the restaurants in the early 2000s that much more closed off and private seating but that?s justthe world we live in now, so we all need to get on board I guess. I got the 12 ounce ribeye it was cooked very well. Very nicepiece of meat. It could?ve had a bit of a better crust on it so my recommendation would be that they turn the heat up on theskillet just a tad other than that the meal was really good, potatoes were great broccoli was great and the blooming onion wasabsolutely fantastic. Bread was good. My brothers of appetizer was good. Overall very good experience. Just took a little bitlong to get our food and had a slightly unexperienced waiter but overall we will definitely come back here. Read more
Our food was excellent! Our steaks were cooked perfectly and had a great seasoning, the baked potatoes were hot and fluffy, and... the salads were fresh. The restaurant was clean and or service was great. I honestly can?t complain about one thing from ourvisit, which is extremely rare at most restaurants these days. We will definitely be back soon. Went online at 7:15 and was given 45 minute wait. Arrived at restaurant at 7:25 And was seated by 7:35. Waitress was upbeat,... pleasant, friendly and receptive. Received drinks and bread quickly. Bread was so fresh and hot and adding the soft butter, wewere impressed with it. Soft bread with hot melted butter was delicious. Meal ordered was steak and shrimp with pasta dish andsteak potato and salad. The steak with pasta was ordered medium well and it came a little red?.loved the seasoning and steaktips were easy to chew. Shrimp was seasoned and small. Combined with tasty pasta really enjoyed the dish. Steak with potatowas ordered medium well but came pretty well done. Without A1 sauce it was tough to eat. Potato was not cooked completely butsalad was fresh and came with croutons, tomato and cucumber. Throughout meal, server was efficient and kept checking in whenneeded Restaurant itself was open area so conversation at different tables could be heard. Great lighting and wall decor. What an amazing meal! I had the 16 ounce New York Strip with a baked potato and a house salad and it was cooked an absolutely... perfect medium rare. The fat on it was also perfectly rendered as well. Service was excellent, the bartender was kind andattentive, and the manager Ian did an excellent job of making sure I had a great experience.
