We came here last minute and was able to be seated immediately. Our server was great and very attentive. We all enjoyed... everything we had. I understand inflation but one of the salads seemed a little high priced for the amount of chicken that wason it. Otherwise everything was tasty and we had a great experience. Read more
Other than being a bit loud it was a pleasant experience. The restaurant was clean. The food was great and our waiter was... excellent considering there were 9 of us. The prices are fair. Management was accommodating for our large group. The atmospherewas nice, the decor is cute, and the bathroom was clean. Will go again. Read more

On Thursday, July 14, 2022, I had the good fortune of having dinner here with my brother and his wife while they were in town.... Our visit was the spur of the moment with an hour and a half before closing. I did not know this until I called and was toldthat as long as we arrived before closing, we would be seated. This right here created my first thought of just how awesome thisplace had to be?but of course, we arrived much sooner than that. When we exited our vehicles, my brother stated how he knew thiswas good food coming because the smell was in the air from the parking lot! Two plates of fish and chips, shrimp and grits,fried chicken livers, green beans, collards, carrot cake and some drinks later, we began to slip into the southern cooking coma!Our server was very pleasant, easy to talk to and we couldn?t have asked for a better representative for that restaurant. TheRoot Cellar is my new favorite place. I am so disappointed in myself in that I always venture out to other areas when thediamond in the rough is right here in my own backyard.
